A few days ago I saw a monster! It was big, had some green on it, so it must have been a monster.

Well, another monster came, that was yellow and had big wheels for legs. The yellow monster was carrying the green monster, and then put it down next to our house. Of course, I had to protect my humans, so I barked and barked. I was sure I was scaring the yellow one, because it ran away. But the big one with some green on it stayed. Later I looked at it, and it must have died, because it was not moving. Apparently my humans decided to use the inside as a storage place. I was put in it by my humans and then they called it a shed… I thought that ’shed’ was not a very scary name for such a big monster!

Begging takes talent. It is a talent I have! I want to give you some tips on begging.
Tip number one: Look cute.
This usually works on the dog lovers easily!

Tip number two: If looking cute doesn’t work, get their attention.
 Don’t make it obvious. Humans rarely ever like noise, so make it look like an accident, you could sneeze, accidentally bump into them, or make some really gross noises with your tongue.

Tip number three:
Get in the right spot. Some humans just are so engrossed with eating that they just can’t see your wonderful face.

Tip number four:
Use this as a last resort! Jump up on them and look at them straight in the eyes with a real pitiful look. Then glace at the food and back again to their eyes, look at the food, then back at the eyes. It gets my owners all the time.

Now go out there and get begging!!!!!!!

Ahhh… I just love sleeping on my owners’ backs! They are soooo comfy!

I REALLY like to chew stuff. Here is a little poem called “Me and My Stick”.

Me and my stick!
My stick you don’t want to lick!
Or your tongue will be in pain.
You’d better lick a candy cane.

I made up that poem in about five minutes! That’s a record!

Whenever someone goes to clear off their plate, I’m always at their side! I’m hoping they’ll just drop a scrap of food!

I have a friend. Her name is Josie! She lives across the street from me! She is a beautiful Chinese Shar-Pei. Josie is one of the only dogs I like to play with.

Yesterday Josie came over to my house to play! We played for a long, long time! We played Chase me (AKA catch-me-if-you-can), King of the snow bank and Follow the leader! We also wrestled a bit too. But most of the time we licked our owners.

Sometimes I stretch on my humans and they call it a Doug hug. They don’t know that I am trying to get as tall as they are. I like to do it when my humans say “walk”, “ride” and “outside”, because they bend down to put a leash on me. That way I seem taller.
