My Wonderful Life

Testing

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 9:50 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Today we had CAT’s (California Achievement Test). They are pretty fun. I finished each lesson thing except the first math one. I am not very fast in math.

We haven’t had softball practice in awhile because of Memorial Day weekend. Last time we had a game or practice was Wednesday which was a game. We won against Lewiston 15-0. Coach gave me the game ball because I hit very well.

On Saturday, us Clarke kids went and helped Pastor Sam and others get the stage and other things prepared.

On Sunday we went to church. After church Billy and Shannon had Richard and Tifani over for a bit. Dad and I watched Enchanted. That night we brought the Stewards home and then we went to the Truth Project. After the Truth Project Rebecca and Tucker came home with us to sleepover. When we got back we snacked a bit and then we went to bed. When I woke almost everyone was already awake. I went and took a shower. I beat my record by taking a 6 minute shower! :-)

After I was done my shower we had breakfast and then we talked bit and then we played blind mans bluff until Mom came and picked us up to go to the Memorial parade. The parade was shorter then usual. After the parade was over Mom went home and everyone else went and had cookies and punch. When we were done we went to the Richards house. Rebecca, Shannon and I scraped paint off of the side of the doors while Billy, Tucker and Taylor planted potatoes. After we were done we had lunch. :-) After lunch we had SMASH. I helped Rebecca with her lines and little and watched people practice their scenes.

After SMASH was over we went home. That night we had Tim, Angie and TJ (Tim and Angie’s baby boy who is due July 31) over for a barbecue. During supper Tifani and Richard came over to sleepover. After supper we talked and then Tim, Angie and TJ had to leave.

On Tuesday we all had breakfast and then Shannon and Tifani went to the horse farm, Richard and Billy stayed home and played board games. Abbey and I went to SMASH again. After SMASH we went home and had lunch.

Thinking I had practice, we picked up Jaime and went to softball practice. Nobody was there so we called coach and he said we didn’t have practice so we went and dropped Jaime off at home. Jaime let me stay a little and bounce on her trampoline. :-) It was fun!

Second Loss

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 9:49 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2009

Yesterday we had a softball game against Auburn. We lost! We beat them last time we played them though! Auburn, Oxford Hills and our team is probably the three best teams this season.

Today we are going to play against Lewiston at Bates College! :-) We haven’t played them yet so we don’t know how good they are. Coach said they had two pitchers who did softball clinics all year long so that’s not a good sign! :-) But we’ll see who wins.

A Fun Saturday!

Today I have a softball game. We’re playing against Auburn at our home field. We beat them last time we played them and that was our first game! Hopefully we’ll beat them this time too!

On Saturday morning we went and watched Billy’s double header baseball game against Leeds. Billy’s team lost both games. :-( Saturday was supposed to be chilly and overcast so we didn’t bring any sun block. We ended up getting sunburned because halfway through Billy’s first game the sun popped out. It was quite warm by the end of the two games and us Clarkes were burnt! We got there around 9am and got home around 3pm!

On Saturday evening Dad, Richard, Billy and I left to go pick up some of our friends. We drove the RV because we planned to make supper while we were gone. First we picked up Sam and Ian. Then we picked up Halie and then Abbey. We went to Lewiston’s softball field and played a little bit. After we were done playing we had hamburgers and hot dogs.

When we were done we drove to the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center. That is where the Two’s were juggling. It was AWESOME!!!! We got to meet them after the show. The show was amazing! They have some GREAT talent! I loved the show!

After the show we went back into the RV and had ice cream and then dropped everyone off back to their homes. Richard ended up sleeping over and coming to church with us the next day.

Tomorrow night we are going to go to a Jugglers performance. It’s going to be so COOL! The two Jugglers are brothers and they have their own website. I can’t wait! Dad says we can bring a friend too! :-)

Mom is working on Saturday and Sunday and then Mom is going to have two whole weeks off from work! :-) Yay!

First and Only Loss

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 1:51 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2009

Yesterday we had a game against Oxford Hills at Oxford Hills. We lost by three runs. The score was 1-4. :-( Oh well. Now our team knows what it’s like to lose. This was our 5th game and our first loss. Next time we play Oxford Hills at our field and we will win! :-)

Today I have no practice. :-( Coach canceled the practice before it even started to rain. :-( It’s a supposed to rain anyway. It hasn’t started to rain yet though. Practice it usually starts around 2:30 and goes until 4:30pm. It better rain during that time or I’m going to be upset.

Fun In New Hampshire!

Today is going to be our first game against Brunswick. It’s going to be awesome! It’s a home game. I can’t wait. I love playing softball!

On Saturday afternoon Shannon, Billy, Abbey, Doug the pug, Dad, Mom and I left to go to New Hampshire in the RV. When we got to New Hampshire we went inside our Uncle’s house to say hi to Uncle Steve, Katie and Jake. Aunt Rose was gone tornado chasing. Uncle Steve made fajitas for supper. After supper everyone but Jake left for the Imax Theater. When we got to the theater we got seated and Dad bought popcorn and soda. We watched the new Star Trek movie. It was great and funny! They had the perfect characters for Dr. McCoy and Scottie!

Mt. Ararat Game at Mt. Ararat.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 1:44 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2009

Today we are supposed to have a game today against Mt. Ararat at Mt. Ararat. It is really wet outside and it is supposed to rain all day. :-( I really hope we still to play! Mt. Ararat is known not to be the best team so Coach Thibodeau might have us play in different positions. :-)

Tomorrow is homeschool co-op! Yay! I love homeschool co-op! It’s so much fun! We split into groups and each group has to make a performance about a country and missionary we learned about. My group is doing India. We are doing a skit. It’ll be fun!

Second Game Against Bath

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 1:42 pm on Thursday, May 14, 2009

Yesterday we played Bath at our home field. We beat them again. The score was 7-0. Michelle did awesome pitching! She didn’t walk anybody! Go Michelle! Our fielding has improved quite a bit too! Our team is getting really good.

Today I have no practice. It is supposed to be quite rainy.

Camping at Poland Spring Campground

On Friday evening I had a game at Bath. Our team did a great job! Michelle (our pitcher) pitched amazingly well, and she also hit a triple! I was a sub again, but I still had fun! Our team beat Bath with a score of 12-1. At the end of the game we weren’t allowed to high-five the players because we didn’t want to risk the chance of swine flu, but we got to high-five with our softball gloves. :-) We went to McDonald’s for supper. After supper we drove back to Tripp. When I was walking off the bus, Mom drove in.

Mom and I went and drove up to Leavitt to pick up Shannon from her game. After we picked up Shannon we drove to Poland Springs Campground to go camping.

When we got to the campground, we just talked for awhile and then we went to bed.

On Saturday Billy and Dad went to a Babe Ruth baseball practice. While they we gone, Abbey, Shannon, Mom and I went to the campground office place and ate some free donuts. :-) After we were done eating, we raked our campsite. Some guys with a big truck and a mini bucket loader picked up our piles of leaves. It was cool!

When we were done we went on a walk and took pictures, met new dogs and looked at the lake. Dad and Billy came back to the campground soon after us we got back from the walk. We talked a bit and then everyone went inside except me. I was trying out the new chair Dad gotten. It had a foot rest. I was playing on my phone when a chickadee landed on our picnic table, and then it landed on my toe! Good thing I was wearing sneakers! But it was SO cool! It was the closest I have ever been to a wild bird!

Shannon, Billy, Abbey and I played Catan. Shannon won, and Billy came in second, I came in third, and Abbey came in fourth. It was still fun though!

When we were done playing Catan, Billy, Shannon and Abbey played pass with the frisbee for a little bit and then Shannon, Billy and I played pass with the softball. After we were done, we made mini pizzas for a campground potluck.

At the potluck we just grabbed some food and ate at the RV, and then we went back for dessert. :-)

Dad, Mom and Shannon went on a walk while Billy and I had a squirt gun fight. Abbey was inside the RV on her computer. When we got back, Shannon started the campfire. Shannon made it nice, big and toasty! When it got down to the coals, we made some s’mores! When we were done eating the s’mores, we went inside and went to bed.

On Sunday we got up and took our showers and got ready for church. We went to Tim and Angie’s church because their church was about three minutes away. After church, Tim and Angie came over for lunch. :-) After lunch, they left and we packed up and went home.

Almost as soon as we drove in and got inside the Dostie’s came to pick Abbey and I up for the Francesca Battistelli concert.

The concert was really cool, but a little short. Mary sang right before Francesca Battistelli. She was great! :-D When Mary was done singing a few songs, Francesca came out and sang. She was also great! After the concert we got to shake hands with Francesca. I got my picture taken with her, but it was kind of dark. After that I bought a poster of Francesca. Abbey bought Mary’s CD.

Possible Game Against Bath

Today we are supposed to have a softball game against Bath but it is kind of wet. :-( I really hope we can have a game today! It was raining but now it isn’t and the sun is peeking out. I hope the sun dries the softball field in Bath so we can play!

Tonight we are going to go camping. Abbey, Billy and Dad are going to go to the campground and set up while Shannon and I are gone at our away games. Mom will pick us up and bring us to the campground. :-)
