Fawnwander!

Yesterday we got back from Fawnwander! It was so much fun! We went bowling and hung out with friends and had a couple Bible studies. It was so much fun! The speaker was named Scott Poblenz. He was very funny! He talked to us about God’s battle plans. They’re pretty amazing!

When we got back from Fawnwander, Billy, Shannon and I played Catan. I lost, of course. I have never won Catan, but it is still fun!

Tonight I start softball! I am so excited! I am a little nervous though.

Last night at the Game Night at Kevin and Sheri’s was super fun! Billy, Angie, Shea and I played Blockus. It was our first time to play it except for Shea. I didn’t do so well. Angie won, then Billy came in second, Shea came in third, and I came in fourth. After Blokus we played Sorry. That was fun! Angie won, Billy was second, Shea was third and I was fourth again. :-)

Tomorrow is Fawnwander!!!!!!!!! Fawnwander is a reunion for all the campers that go to Deerwander. The counselors go too! Colleen (my pretend twin) and Natalie won’t be there. :-( I’m really bummed they aren’t going, but I’ll get to see most everyone else from Deerwander! Two people from our church are going too! Zac and Rachel! I am soooo excited!

Tomorrow morning we plan to go see two of our friends perform at the Schooner Estates to play the violin with other violinists around their age. Their names are Marissa and Camdyn. They are homeschooled too! They are VERY good at playing the violin!

Later on Saturday we are probably going to go sledding with the Hollen’s. They are throwing a sledding party and it is going to be a blast! The Hollen’s are so fun!

Yesterday Billy and I played outside. We had sword fights using icicles. We ran and jumped over snowbanks. We also sort of had a snowball fight.

Spring

Lately, it has been warming up outside and the snow has been melting. I can’t wait for the snow to melt and the warmer weather to come and stay! :-) It has been warmer in the afternoon though. :-) I love Spring!

Last night we watched Sahara at the Marshall’s. I am pretty sure everyone enjoyed it. My favorite character is Al Giordino. He is SO funny!

Movie Night

Tonight is supposed to be the Marshall Care Group. But since Ryan, our care group leader, is working, we are going to have a movie night instead. We planned to have the movie night at Shonah’s house, but the plan will probably change and we will have it at the Marshall’s instead. I am really excited!

Math has been really easy lately. I have finished my math lessons a lot faster then usual. Math used to take me over an hour to finish, but now it takes only about a half an hour. Yesterday it only took me about 15 minutes to finish the math lesson. It was extremely easy and (for once) fun!

:-( This morning Dad, Abbey and Mom left to go to New York City for the weekend to visit the college Abbey is going to. Abbey is going to go to college at King’s College! King’s College is in the Empire State Building! How cool is that? I miss them already.

Tim is over to be our taxi and responsible adult. Thanks Tim for your time! :-)

S.M.A.S.H. Girls Sleepover

On Friday Billy, Dad and Mom dropped us off at the Richards. Since we were celebrating Tucker’s birthday until 7pm, we all played in the Great Room. We played Apples to Apples, Do You Love Your Neighbor and played ping-pong. It was super fun! The parents picked up the young men that were there later in the evening. There were only two. Poor Tucker. Then we sent Tucker out of the Great Room so we could watch Enchanted. We went to bed after the movie.

The next day we ate muffins and fruit for breakfast. It was sooo yummy! After breakfast we went for a nice long walk. When we got back from our walk we laid on the slightly damp grass. (There was NO snow on the grass! How cool is that?) Duchess came and walked on us and then laid on me. :-) Rebecca and I gave her a belly rub.

We went inside afterwards and talked in the living room and played on the piano. Samantha arrived to teach us how to make someone look old with stage makeup. I did Rebecca and Rebecca did me. Rebecca did a very good job on me. I didn’t do as well on Rebecca. Everyone left by the time we were done with our faces.

When we got home, Mom and I went to go pick up Billy from a different birthday party.

Fun Filled Friday!

I am very excited for tomorrow! Tomorrow morning we are going to homeschool co-op!

After homeschool co-op we are going to go to Tucker’s birthday party. Poor Billy can’t go to Tucker’s party. He isn’t that bummed, however, because he has a soccer game to play (he plays for an indoor soccer team) and a different birthday party to go to.

After Tucker’s party all the families are going home except for the girls of the family. Us girls are going to sleep over. I am SOOOOOO excited!

My Version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 11:27 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2009

For school we had to rewrite Goldilocks and the Three Bears, making it a dialogue. Here is my version of it.

Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear sat down to have porridge for breakfast. The porridge was too hot, so Mama Bear said “Let’s take a walk while our porridge cools down.” Papa and Baby Bear agreed.

While they were gone Goldilocks, who was wandering in the forest, found their cottage. She knocked on the door, and when there was no answer, she went inside. Inside, Goldilocks found three bowls of porridge. Goldilocks said “I am really hungry!” So she tried all three bowls. One was too hot, one was too cold and one was perfect. She ate the whole bowl of porridge! When she finished the porridge she saw three rocking chairs. She tried sitting on each one. One was too hard, one was too soft, but one was perfect. She rocked in that rocking chair until it suddenly broke! Goldilocks was so tired she decided to go to sleep in one of the three beds they had. Again, one was too soft, one was too hard and the third was perfect. ” I’ll take a nap in this one.” yawned Goldilocks.

When the bear family was back, they found the porridge disturbed and Baby Bear’s rocking chair broken! They went upstairs to find Goldilocks sound asleep in Baby Bear’s bed. Papa Bear woke her up saying “Why did you come into our home?” Goldilocks said sleepily “Oh! Oh I’m so sorry! I didn’t know it was your home! Please forgive me!” Baby Bear said “I forgive you.” After that they all became very good friends.

The End.

Hollen Movie Night!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 10:12 am on Tuesday, March 17, 2009

Last night we had the Hollen’s over! They arrived around 6pm. I was so excited! I hadn’t seen the Hollen’s in awhile. When they arrived we took orders for either hot dogs or hamburgers. Shannon and I made supper and Rachel was so kind and helped us. :-) Shannon cooked the hamburgers while I cooked the hot dogs and grilled the buns. I also cooked the bacon. When we were finished cooking we ate supper.

After supper we watched The Widow’s Might. It was very good! I liked it alot! During the movie we had ice cream and brownies. YUM!

When the movie was over we talked for awhile and then the Hollen’s had to leave so we said our goodbyes and they left. :-(
