My Wonderful Life

Before and After Pictures of My Haircut

Yesterday after school Abbey, Mom and I left to drop off Abbey at work. We got some books at the library then we headed to the Conant’s house. Mrs. Conant cut my hair and then she cut Mom’s hair. Since I was donating my hair Mrs. Conant cut off my braid then she fixed up my hair and layered it the way I wanted it. I am donating my hair to Locks of Love :-) When she was done with me she cut a few inches off of Mom’s hair. Here are some pictures of my hair. I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures of Mom’s hair.

Haircut!

Today I am going to get my hair cut! I’m donating about 10 inches of my hair to Locks of Love! I can’t wait! My hair is quite long and difficult to take care of. My hair will grow back, but someone with cancer or leukemia might not get their hair back. :-( I will put pictures up of my short hair.

We got lots of snow! Over a foot of snow! The snow banks are as deep as my waist or deeper! It is awesome!

Shopping Early in the Morning

This morning Mom and I went grocery shopping around 6:30 in the morning. That’s too early for me! I am way too tired now! :-)

The reason we went shopping early was because we needed some food and so we decided to beat the snow storm. Almost as soon as we got home from shopping it started to snow, right as we parked the car! It’s snowing right now. We are supposed to get 15-24 inches of snow! :-) I can’t wait to outside and play!

Untouchables

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 3:53 pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2009

I was called an Untouchable recently in a joking way. It’s a long story. :-) I’m not an Untouchable because an Untouchable is a person in India that is treated like a slave. They get very dirty jobs. Untouchables are the only people in India that can cut off umbilical cords when baby’s are born. They have to wait for an Untouchable to come and cut the umbilical cord and sometimes they don’t come in time and the baby dies. :-( Nobody in India can touch blood except the Untouchables. Nobody can touch dead people either! They live in horrible homes compared to the other Indians. They are treated very rudely! The reason they are Untouchables because their parents and grandparents were poor and were Untouchables. In India whatever your family is, that is what you will grow up to be.

Another Fun and Busy Weekend!

On Friday we had Homeschool co-op. It was really cool and I learned lots of new things!

On Saturday Billy had Richard and Tristan over to visit. Shannon had Tifani over to visit. Shannon and Tifani went to the horse farm to visit. I was doing a job for dad but I took a break and played outside with Tristan, Billy and Richard. At first we just talked awhile then we had a snow fight. When the snow fight was over we went to the Ferris’ field to go sliding. It was really windy so we didn’t slide too much. After awhile we sat at the bottom of the hill and talked. Some how it ended up that they buried me in snow. I got out of the snow and ran the other way and Billy chased me and he tackled me. Richard helped Billy hold me down while Tristan buried me with snow. I didn’t see the point of how fun it was to bury me. I got out of the snow and then we got all the sleds and walked home.

When we got home we had hot cocoa. Billy, Tristan and Richard played iShoot on Billy’s phone. Tifani and Shannon came back from the horse farm soon after the boys (Billy, Tristan and Richard) left to go help shovel our friend’s driveway. I finished Dad’s job while Billy, Tristan and Richard played Risk. Mom had to bring everyone home just before 5PM because Shannon was leaving to a hockey game with a friend. That way Tifani wouldn’t have to stay at our house when Shannon wasn’t here.

After Mom dropped Tifani and Richard at their house we went to Turner to drop off Tristan. On the way to Tristan’s we played iShoot. Tristan and Billy ganged up on me, of course! So I lost! :-(

On Sunday Tifani and Richard went to church with us. After church they came to our house. Everybody but Dad, Mom and I played Risk. After they were done playing Risk Tifani, Mom, Shannon, Abbey and I played Phase 10. Tifani won! We didn’t get to finished it all the way because we had so many players and Mom, Abbey and I had to leave to go to the Saldana’s. Abbey and Mom went to the woman’s Bible Study while I played upstairs with Halie and Cassidy. We played The Game of Life: Twists and Turns Edition. It was a high tech version when you used fake Visa cards and stuff like that! It was SO fun! I really want that game for my birthday!

Some Friend’s Over

Yesterday Bethany came over to play outside with us. It was fun! After awhile Tifani and Richard came over to play also. We mostly talked and slid a little. Beth left to go home because she lives right next door to us and had things to do at home. After Beth left we went inside to have some hot cocoa. We played Imaginiff. It was really fun. Billy won Imaginiff!

Two days ago we watched part of the Inauguration Day thing. Since we don’t have a TV we watched it through a stream thing but it froze up just before it actually started.

My sister Shannon has a duct tape business. It’s really, really cool! Shannon is making duct tape roses for Valentine’s day which is coming up next month.

Fun Filled Weekend!

On Saturday Shannon, Billy, Abbey, Mom and I left to go shopping at Target for about an hour. We were almost there when our van wasn’t doing so good. The engine was really hot. So Mom stopped at Sears and it just happened to die just as we parked. :-( Mom called Dad to let him know what happened. We all went into Sears and to other stores near Sears and browsed.

One of the stores we went into was Petco. It was really cool! We looked at all their cool fish! Mom called AAA while we were at Petco. We decided to browse some more. We were really bored. Dad called the Heikkenin’s (a family near where we were) and Mrs. Heikkenin came to pick us up from the mall place. After Mrs. Heikkenin came to pick us up the tow truck came and towed our van to Fleet Truck (a vehicle repair near our house).

Mrs. Heikkenin had planned a surprise unbirthday party for her daughter, Marissa on Saturday and we were invited so Marissa thought we were coming to their house just because our car broke down. :-)

We got to the Heikkenin’s house around 2pm and we had snacks, played a card game, and talked alot. :-) During our card game (it was around 4pm) the Lachances and the Jacksons arrived! Marissa was so surprised to see everyone! She was so happy! After everyone was inside we gave her our coupons. My coupon to Marissa was a free hug. Everybody gave her one coupon. They were all so creative! :-)

We all went downstairs to play fuse ball and ping pong. It was so much fun! Evan and I played ping pong, and then Olivia and Petra played ping ping. Please, don’t ask who won because we didn’t keep score. Hahaha! We just hit the ball with the ping pong paddle and tried to pass it back and forth. It was fun!

We all went upstairs to play Apples to Apples. That was really funny! I won one green card. I believe Evan won because he got two cards before everyone else got two. We stopped playing when William arrived.

When William arrived we went back down stairs and played fuse ball and ping pong again. Rebecca and Tucker arrived soon after that.

Rebecca, Tucker, Billy and I played fuse ball. Billy and I were on a team and Rebecca and Tucker were on a team. Rebecca and Tucker won but when Rebecca and I switched teams so I was on Tucker’s team and Rebecca was on Billy’s team Tucker and I won. Haha! I think Tucker was probably the best at fuse ball out of the four of us.

We had supper! It was delicious! We had a pasta with cheese and sauce and and other yummy stuff. We had bread too. After supper we played Telephone, Killer and Murder. Those are all fun, safe games! After those games were done we all had to leave. :-( Dad came to pick us up with our other car. When the Lachances and the Jackson’s (they came in the same car) left they got stuck, so all the guys helped them get out of the driveway safely.

This morning dad came out of his room and told us that the tan van is officially dead! It can’t be fixed! It is about 12 years old and is now officially too old to work. :-(

A Visit With The Richards

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 10:02 am on Friday, January 16, 2009

Yesterday we went to the Richards’ house so Mom and Abbey could watch a women’s Bible study video. It was about an hour long, so Mrs. Richards invited Billy, Shannon and I to come and visit with Rebecca, Tucker and William while Mom and Abbey watched the video. We went outside to go sledding, but we didn’t really go sledding. Tucker and Billy threw snow at Shannon and I. I threw some snow at Billy and Tucker and left, but Shannon stayed in the fight. Rebecca and I rolled down a hill a couple of times and then we went for a walk around the cow pasture. It was fun! We made snow angels. :-) We went back inside, made some muffins and talked. After awhile, Shannon, Billy and Tucker came inside. Of course, Tucker brought in little ice chunks that he tried putting down mine and Shannon’s shirts. Billy and Tucker ganged up on me, but they never got the ice down my shirt. :-P Shannon came to the rescue! Haha! When the muffins were done we played iShoot on our iPhones and we ate the muffins. We had to go soon after, so we all said goodbye and left. Hahaha! As I was getting into the car Tucker called me on my phone and wanted to talk to Billy even though we JUST went out the door!

This morning my Dad told us that he and Mom have lived in our house for about 20 years and it never been this cold before! This morning it was about 20 below zero!!! I just checked the weather on WunderGround and it says it’s 13 below, but on Billy’s phone it’s 22 below! It is freezing! I feel bad for the kids that have to wait outside for the school bus!

Cold Weather!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 10:16 am on Tuesday, January 13, 2009

This morning I checked the weather and found out that it was zero degrees outside. BRRR! The weather all week is supposed to be below freezing. At night it’s supposed to be about negative five degrees! Whoa! I believe it’s supposed to snow today and Thursday!

Tonight we are going to go to the Marston care group. For the next two weeks the Marstons changed the Marston care group to have it on Tuesday instead of Thursday because Sheri is working on the next two Thursdays.

Last night us Clarke kids showed Mom and Dad some of Tim Hawkins funniest videos! He is a Christian comedian and writes funny songs with the same tune as some Christian songs we know. I like his Cletus Take the Reel, Homeschool Family, Corporate Worship songs, Tim Hawkins on Parenting, and Tim Hawkins on Products. He has plenty more I haven’t seen though!

A Very Fun Weekend!

On Friday morning we had homeschool co-op! I love homeschool co-op! It’s super fun! We didn’t have very many classes but we had a missionary couple from India come and speak about their wonderful work. Mrs. Cowles spoke most of the time. She works as a nurse for kids. Her husband and her have saved lots of babies. Some of the baby’s parents were saved by Jesus too. :-D

After the missionary’s were done their speaking we had cooking class. It was fun! We made Malpua. It is an Indian food. It is very interesting. We we cooked it, it looked like pancake batter but when it was fully cooked it looked like egg. When I ate it, it tasted like cereal. It was weird but yummy!

After cooking class we had lunch.

After lunch we had art class.

In art class we have an actual artist come and teach us. She is amazing at drawing! We drew a mouth. When we finished our mouth we had to either draw something with our eyes closed or draw left handed with no eraser. I drew a girl with two messy buns. Hahaha! I drew left handed. I had a good sketch but the details didn’t look good so I’m going to try again.

When we left homeschool co-op we ended up bringing Tristan (Billy’s friend) home to go sliding. Ellayna came sliding with us too. Somehow Billy and Tristan ended up throwing TONS of snow at us with shovels. Even when I wanted peace! By the time we left I could barely feel my hands but it was fun!

At home, after sliding, we had hot chocolate. Billy and Tristan played chess while Ellayna and I got ready to leave to go to Ellayna’s house.

Mrs. Fowler came to pick us up and while Taylor (Ellayna’s younger sister) and Mrs. Fowler were inside, Ellayna and Taylor kept saying “Tickle, tickle, tickle” to Doug and he would whine and howl! It was hilarious! He has never done something like that before! Doug was SOOO FUNNY! When Ellayna, Taylor, Mrs. Fowler and I left we went to the IGA to get a chicken for supper.

When we got back to the Fowler’s house we had supper. It was yummy! We ate mashed potatoes and chicken. After supper Ellayna and I went to her room and worked on beads for awhile but we kind of gave up. Then we watched a movie called Aqua Marine. I have seen it before but a long time ago. It was pretty good.

The next morning we had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. It was YUMMY! Since they were kind of big we only had two each. After breakfast we played wii fit. It was fun! After that we played Scattergories. Taylor and Mrs. Fowler won. Mr. Fowler helped Ellayna and I sometimes. It was a blast! After that Ellayna and I had to get ready to leave to go to the Richards.

Billy and Dad picked us up and we headed to the Richards!

When we got there, Tucker was already waiting outside. Ellayna and I went into the house after we said bye to Billy, Dad and Tucker. Tucker and Billy were going to go snowboarding at Lost Valley in Auburn. Ellayna and I were going to help Rebecca, Christina, Morgan and Mrs. Richards with a lady’s banquet. We dressed up like servants in the olden days. :-) We helped decorate the dining table and serve the ladies their meals! The fun part was to light the candles! That was the most fun! The room was almost fully lit with candles but we needed some extra light so we made the real lights very dim.

After the lady’s were done their meal they had us come out so they could applaud us. :-) After they thanked us with an applause we all sang the song You Are My All In All. I love that song! After that we cleaned the dishes and put them away. Once we were done we took our costumes off. Dad, Billy and Tucker came soon after to pick us up and drop Tucker back home. When we left Dad let Ellayna spend the night at our house and come to church with us.

Sunday, church was canceled because of the snow! I was so bummed out but we had our only little service at home.

After our home church service we worked on a puzzle and made cookies. After the cookies were done we had lunch and cookies. After cookies we watched Jurassic Park . When Jurassic park was over Dad and I took Ellayna home.

When we got back we watched Titanic. It is such a love story! Yuck!
