My Wonderful Life

Away at Brunswick

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 9:22 am on Monday, September 29, 2008

Today we have an away game at Brunswick! I’m excited! Instead of riding with the boys, this time we are riding with the younger girls. Our last game we played against Mt. Ararat at Mt. Ararat. We lost about 5-0. I’m not sure what exactly the score was. Their field is tiny, and the grass is weird, so I have a feeling we’ll beat them when they come to our field! :-)

Yesterday we went to the Richards’ church and we went to their house afterwards! It was SUPER fun! Thanks Richards’ family for your great hospitality!

My First Away Game This Year!

Today I have my first away game! We’re going to Mt. Ararat! I’m excited! Last year they were a very good team! But I think we can beat them! We’ve beaten Lewiston!

Yesterday it took me FOREVER to do my math because I had 14 problems that had like 7 different LONG steps! I am not excited for a week full of math! BLAH!

Soccer!!!

I’ve had two soccer games so far! We won our first game against Lewiston. 1-0. Jenna scored! Our game against Bath we lost, 0-2. But it was a fun game!

Billy’s team lost against Lewiston. The score was 3-0.

But, his team won against Bath! The Bath boys had AMAZING foot work, but Billy’s team still beat them, 3-1! Since I was a ball girl I got to watch the whole game! In the first half Billy’s team scored almost immediately. When the ball got back into the center the Bath team scored almost immediately! Then Billy’s team scored twice! Both Nick’s scored the first goal. Mat and Christian scored the other two goals! It was a very exciting game! Since I almost always had a ball in my hands, I almost popped the ball because I was SO excited during Billy’s game.

Greene Village Day!

Today is my first soccer game! Yay! It’s a home game against Lewiston! I’ve heard that they have fancy foot work. :-) This is going to be exciting! I LOVE SOCCER! My jersey number is 1. Isn’t that cool? :-)

On Friday Zac and Rachel came to sleepover! After they got here, we went to go pick up Shannon from a soccer game. On the way, we told Zac and Rachel what color Shannon’s cast was. After we picked up Shannon, we went to Dad’s office and stuffed little ziplock bags with candy and a flier. When we ran out of candy, we stopped and played a bit. When we got back home, Rachel and I made chocolate cupcakes for Abbey’s party, which was on the next day.

The next day we woke up early and got ready to go to Greene Village Day. We went to a pancake breakfast, and I saw Ellayna and Jaime and a couple of other people I knew. It was so, so, so fun!

We started in the parade with lots of candy to pass out and we all wore ‘Bill Clarke for State Rep’ T-shirts. Some people walked dogs, and the dogs had little ‘Canines for Clarke’ signs on them. It was super fantastic! I saw SOOOO many people I knew! When we got to the end of the parade all of the dogs laid down in the shade cast by the cars in the parking lot. It was funny! After awhile we went our separate ways. Ashleigh, Jaime, Rachel and I all walked down to the office and got Dad’s microwave for Mr. and Mrs. Long so they could make stuff with it. Mr. and Mrs. Long were in charge of the snack shack.

We all walked down to the school playground. Jaime left on the way to the playground because her throat hurt. :-( We played at the playground for a short time with Morgan and then we went down to the bigger field below. Billy, Evan, Sam and Garret were there playing soccer! We decided to play. Well, only Ashleigh, her cousin, Sierra and I played. Morgan went to hang out with her cousin, Nicole.

We first talked for a few minutes and then we discussed our teams for World cup. I was with Rachel. Yay! We lost. :-( But I had fun! After that every one but me plus Abbey’s friends played Ultimate frisbee. Rachel and I left a little earlier so we could help do the bounce house for someone so she could have lunch. When she came back we went and patted the ponies then had lunch. We had meatballs. Yummm!

After lunch, Abbey, Seth, Austin, Shannon, Zac, Rachel and I walked back to the house. Everyone but Rachel and I played airsoft. We made vanilla frosting for Abbey’s cupcakes. Billy had his friends come over and play air soft too. He had Christian, Garret, Sam, Evan, and Hunter over. At least they were outside most of the time! :-) Some of them had cupcakes and Seth, Austin, Shannon, Abbey, Tim, Rachel and I ate them too. We walked back to to the field after that because Shannon was having a soccer game.

When we got there it was packed because of Greene Village day! Abbey, Tim, Seth and Austin played frisbee for a bit while Rachel and I went to find Shannon. We didn’t find her until her game started but before then Rachel joined in on frisbee and I played with Billy’s soccer ball and talked a bit with Dad and Mr. Fowler. When Shannon’s game started we did stretches with the kids. They are so cute! Our team won, but I think two of our goals were by accident because the other team scored on themselves. :-)

After the game was over we cleaned up. Theresa invited Billy and I to go to Atmosphere, and we wanted to go, so she planned to pick us up later that night. Rachel, Shannon, Mom and I went back home.

When we got home, Rachel and I went on a look out to find Zac, Billy and Hunter. We found them pretty fast. When we got home the Hollens and Hunter left. :-(

Tim made us supper. It was pork chops. Yum! Sarahjoy was there too. It was about 7:15pm when Theresa picked us up. I sat out back with Ellayna and Taylor. Billy and Sam sat in the middle. We picked up Garret and he sat in the front seat.

When we arrive at Atmosphere we went and sat down and talked for awhile. It was fun! We were really goofy. Then the sermon started. It was a very good sermon about our Father and how loving he really is.

After the sermon was over there was nice music. Others were gathering around friends and praying for each other. We listened to the music. Well, some of us did. It was super fun! We had some yummy snacks afterwards. We got dropped off at Tim and Angie’s house to spend the night. When we got there everyone was asleep, except the cats.

Broken Hand

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 8:37 am on Tuesday, September 9, 2008

When Shannon came back from soccer practice yesterday, Shannon said she hurt her hand. She said it felt like she jammed it. While we were eating supper, Shannon flattened her hand out on the table, and her knuckle looked funny. Since Mom was going in town anyway, to pick up Abbey, Mom decided to bring her to the ER.

We waited for a long time, and Dad came to pick up Abbey, Billy and I, since it was getting late. When we came back home, we were all about to go into bed, when Shannon came home with a huge splint. Her 5th metacarpal was broken. It was her right hand, too! So, for three days, she had this huge splint on. We went to the doctors again to get a cast. You’ll never guess what color cast she picked! ORANGE! :-) We all signed it!

The cast she has on now is shorter, skinnier and leaves three of her fingers free. It’s hard for her to take a shower because she has to wrap her cast a a plastic bag and duct tape it closed. The whole time she has to keep her arm as far away from the water as possible. Poor Shannon. She also has a rash under it. :-( At least she only has to have the cast on for 3 weeks, instead of 6 or 8.

Soccer Has Started Officially!

Yesterday, I had my first official soccer practice! We ran ALOT! We also did push-ups and sit ups. Everybody complained alot but I didn’t complain much except the heat made it hard.

Today, I have another practice! It is supposed to get into the 80’s today! I hope we do a little less running!

Last night, we stopped at the Crawford’s to get Billy’s math book because they were borrowing it so Connor could use it. (He is so smart!) Connor is supposed to be in 7th grade but he is in 9th or 10th grade math, I believe. Meredith and I talked for a bit. Gavin is going to school full time! So much has changed with the Crawford’s! We are both SO busy! They also showed us a toad about as big as my fist!

Sam From Softball

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 8:09 am on Wednesday, September 3, 2008

On Monday we all found out that Sam (a girl who was on my softball team) was staying at our house until Friday! Her mom was going to Florida for a funeral, so Sam is staying at our house. Since she goes to public school, she is not here very often. She leaves around 6:45am and gets back around 2:30 in the afternoon. I don’t see her for awhile because I have soccer practice right after school until 4:30, and I don’t get back until 5pm. Yesterday Sam didn’t come home for awhile because she stayed to watch Shannon’s soccer game. I’m excited to have Sam here for awhile.

Today I have my first soccer practice. I had an unofficial practice earlier, but I didn’t hear about anything else until I called the school. Tonight we also have a soccer meeting. I’m kind of nervous. I don’t like walking into a school when most other kids are walking out.

Labor Day Camping!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 8:41 am on Tuesday, September 2, 2008

On Friday we left to go camping for the weekend in Sebago. We got to bring along Tifani and Ashleigh! :-) Shannon had a soccer game that day, so Mom picked up Tifani and Shannon after Mom was done working. They got to our campsite pretty late. The rest of us had arrived around 6pm. We set up while Dad went to say ‘hi’ to Aunt Debbie. Aunt Debbie came over for supper. It was lasagna. YUUUMMY! I love how Mom puts pepperoni in the lasagna. :-) Sooo good. Ashleigh and I played mini golf for free! I think it was free because the course was not the best one in the world.

Ashleigh and I slept in a tent and Billy slept in another tent. Tifani, Shannon, Mom, Dad and Abbey slept in the motor home.

The next day we had pancakes for breakfast. We went swimming after breakfast. The water was definitely cold, but it was refreshing. Ashleigh and I didn’t last very long in the water because it was cold. Ashleigh and I played mini golf a lot. When we were about to go swimming again, Richard showed up with Dad. It was a surprise for Billy. :-) When we went swimming, Richard was talking with us when we heard Billy, Shannon and Tifani yell “Is that Richard?” and then Richard started go in the water and they asked Richard so many questions. They were all so surprised. We went to Aunt Debbie’s for supper. We walked over towards Aunt Debbie’s because Billy said he had a surprise for us. Aunt Debbie’s friend shot a small black bear. It was really cool but a bit bloody. I got to pet him, but I washed my hands afterwards.

The next day we went to church. Abbey and Shannon knew the preacher and a boy there because they had met them at Deerwander. The boy’s name was Billy, but he wasn’t my brother. It was a great church service!

When we got back from church, Dad said that we were having lunch at Aunt Debbie’s. Ashleigh and I went over early to bring the corn on the cob. Aunt Debbie let us play Guitar Hero until everyone else arrived. Ashton showed us how good he is at Guitar Hero. He is really good! We had hot dogs and corn on the cob for lunch. It was very filling. We were going to go see Mamma Mia but since Aunt Debbie was moving really soon, she decided she should pack instead. We went swimming, and the waves were HUGE! They were rocking the moored boats a lot! The waves were probably were about waist high!

We went to Seacoast Fun Park Sunday evening. It was super fun! We went on the go karts three times, once on the bumper boats, once or twice on the giant sky swing and we did some tubing! It was so, so, so, so fun! I went on the 100 feet sky swing twice, and it was totally worth it!!! It was so amazing! Thank you Dad and Aunt Debbie!!! I had a blast!

Ashleigh and I rode back with Aunt Debbie, Ryan and Collin. We went to their house for a bit, and then Ryan, Collin, Ashleigh and I walked to our campsite while Aunt Debbie rode. We had s’mores at our campfire. It was great! Tifani had her first s’more! We talked a lot about what we did at the park that day.

The next day we were packing up to leave when Dad all of a sudden sent us to go to Aunt Debbie’s because Collin was leaving. We all hugged Collin and Ryan and Aunt Debbie. I’m going to miss them.

When we got back, we finished packing. Ashleigh and I brought Aunt Debbie’s folding chairs back. We visited Mac (Aunt Debbie’s dog) and Aunt Debbie for a bit, then we went back and swam. The waves were not as big they were the day before, but they were bigger than usual.

On our way home we stopped at the Maine Mall. It was fun.
