On Saturday we went to the Richards’ house to help prepare the stage and stuff for the play. Our stage is going to be bigger than I thought it was going to be! Yay! Pastor Sam took a few girls to the church to get the lights and stuff from last year. While he was gone everyone else cleaned up the garage.
One of the things we did was getting big pieces of wood down from a high place in the garage. Tucker climbed up and passed us (the cast) most of the wood. Once he was passing a thin piece of metal to me and it was shorter then most of the pieces and I didn’t know it was short so I stuck my arms out and Tucker sort of tossed it and it hit me in the face. It hurt for awhile and I didn’t even know it but I had a cut that was bleeding! Shannon told me and so I went to go clean it. When I told Tucker he said “Oh! I’m so sorry! Are you okay?” (something like that) I felt fine. Just a little sting.
Some of the younger kids played baseball. Camden, Billy, Elijah, Tucker, Tim (I don’t know who Tim is, he is not my brother) and I played baseball. I pitched for one team and Tucker pitched for the other team. While I was pitching, I pitched to Tucker and he hit a ground ball. I got it and got I Tucker out, just before he got to second base.
That made it so my team had to bat and his team had to go out and field.
When Tucker pitched his second pitch (I think) the batter, Tim ducked away from his pitch and the ball bounced on some rocks then hit Billy in the mouth! At first I thought he was okay and would get over it in a few minutes. But Billy didn’t smile or anything. Then we saw lots of blood come out of his mouth! Tucker and I ran to get help. I went to go get Mom. When Mom and I got back Billy was crying. (Billy barely ever cries! The last time I remember when I saw him cry was when Sire died.) Mom told me to get some ice. I went and asked Mrs. Richards for some ice. Tucker got an ice pack for Billy. When we got outside we gave him the ice and Mrs. Richards gave Mom two pills for the pain to give to Billy. Mom, Billy and I drove to the church after that and picked up Abbey and Shannon. Tucker kept saying “I’m so sorry, Billy!” and stuff like that. Poor Tucker, he felt really bad.
When we were in the car Billy kept crying. But once we got home we talked about going to the doctors or not. We decided to call Mrs. Crawford (she is a dental hygienist) and ask what to do. She said to call the dentist on Monday. We did agree to what she said. Then we watched a Star Trek Enterprise episode. Billy felt much better. Instead of a nine (10 worst pain ever and 1 best ever felt) he was a six. He kept the ice on his face the rest of the day.
