My Wonderful Life

Busy Weekend

On Saturday we were supposed to have a game. It was cancelled. :-( So, the pizza party was moved up earlier. Before we knew that, we went to help Pastor Sam put in insulation. Then Dad called and told us about the party. Dad came and picked Billy and I up. We got there half an hour late. I had some pizza, and then I got my trophy. I hung out for a bit, then Cassandra invited me over. Dad said yes, so I went to her house. Before we went to her house, we went to Wal-mart. We saw Riley and Monica there. It was cool. Cassandra and I went to her house and we played until 4:30pm. Cassandra’s mom took me home.

When I got home Richard was at our house. He and Billy had to walk Doug. When they got back, we left to pick up Abbey and Shannon. Dad and Pastor Sam played ping pong, and then talked while Billy and I vacuumed.

When we got home, Richard, Billy and I made cookie dough while Shannon made supper and Abbey did the bulletin.

No Bake Cookies

Last night, Mom and I made no bake cookies. Then after Bible study we had some with Tim and Angie. Tim was being funny and said “yuck” because it was chocolate and sweet. I said to Tim “Don’t worry, Tim, it has peanut butter in it. Protein!” Then Tim is like “Oh!” He started to eat it enjoyably. Here is a recipe for no bake cookies.

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
2 3/4 cup sugar
4 Tbsp cocoa

Combine above and cook until boiling. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add:
3 cups oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
Mix well. Drop on cookie sheets before cooled.

French Braid

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 12:30 pm on Monday, October 22, 2007

Today, while Mom read aloud, I learned how to French Braid. I still need some practice though. Shannon saw me do a French Braid on Mom so Shannon wanted me to French Braid her hair. She wanted it doubled since her hair is so thick. So I did two French Braids on Shannon’s hair. It was different then I thought compared to a single French Braid.

Today I have my last soccer game against Brunswick. The second hardest city against Tripp. It is an away game, so I have to arrive before school is dismissed. The girls soccer team will be dismissed early.

Another Fun Practice

Yesterday I had a soccer practice at Tripp.

Since the 7th and 8th grade boys were practicing on the football field, we kept asking Coach if we could scrimmage against them. Coach said not today, because the boys were already having a scrimmage. I want to talk to Mrs. Fullerton at rec league soccer practice and see if she’ll let us scrimmage against her team. Mrs. Fullerton is Billy’s coach for his Tripp team.

Anyways, back to what we did at Tripp. We waited until half time for the scrimmage, and then Coach said “Follow me!” We all picked up our balls and marched to the football field. Coach said “Ready!”

We stuck our balls in front of us.

“Aim!”

We put the ball down on the ground in front of us.

“Fire!”

We booted the balls at the boys. They booted them back at us. It was fun!

Before we shot our balls at the boys, we did a couple of drills. We dribbled in between the cones. We dribbled as fast as we could to one end of the line of cones, and stopped the ball with a back step.

Then we did easy suicides. All we had to do was start at a cone and then go to the closest cone, then run backwards and go to the next cone and go backwards. Then we sat down. Easy. I would have called them fun runs.

Superman Returns

Last night we watched Superman Returns. It was cool, but I liked the old movie better. They kept having Superman almost dying, but then someone would save him, and stuff like that.

Today I have soccer practice, but right now I am going to go see Billy test his cardboard boat in the stream.

Oxford Hills Soccer Game

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 1:39 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2007

Yesterday I had a soccer game. We lost. It was against Oxford Hills. I almost scored a goal, but the goalie caught it. Coach said I did an excellent job dribbling down the the side line, and then shooting. The score was two to zero.

Just now Shannon asked Abbey how to spell “onion” Shannon spelled it wrong on her first try, and then I said “I know how to spell onion!” Then Shannon said “BIG WOOP! You know how to spell everything!” Then Abbey and I said together “Yeah, I know how to spell everything. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.” Shannon was like “I hate you guys!” in a joking way. “I’m moving in with Josie.” Abbey said “Do you want us to lick your face like Josie does?” Then Shannon said “Ew, no…” Then Shannon started tickling Abbey and Abbey said “You can’t tickle dogs.” Then Shannon and I said at the same time. “Yeah, you can!” Abbey then said “Now, lets gang up on Colleen.” Shannon said “Ah, no.”

Flea’s

This morning while I was doing math Shannon came out of the parents room and said Doug had fleas. :-( I noticed Doug was very itchy lately and Shannon said she saw a bug on him a little one like a flea. Poor Doug. We are gong to give him bathes more often and we’re going to scrub in his tick and flea shampoo harder.

There was this cool thing that I learned from a girl at soccer practice. You need only two people. Person #1 and Person #2. Person #1 puts their hands inside of #2 hands about three inches apart. Person #2 presses on the outside of there hands. Person #1 tries to keep his or her hands the same distance apart for 30 seconds. When thirty seconds are over, both let go and person #1 one should feel an invisible ball in between their hands.

Leed’s Soccer Game

Last Saturday I had a soccer game. It was fun! I almost got a few goals. Cassandra got 2 goals for her first time, and Monica got a goal. We won against the other team. The score was 6 to 3, I think. Monica got the first goal. Billy got the second, and I don’t remember who scored after that. Christian almost scored a goal by a throw in, but the goalie caught it.

Today I have a soccer game! I am so excited. I am playing away at Oxford Hills.

Bath Has Gotten Better

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 11:18 am on Wednesday, October 10, 2007

Yesterday I had a soccer game against Bath. Last time we played them we beat them 12 to 0, but this time we beat them 2 to 0. They have gotten much better. I almost got a goal twice, but I was on the left side, so it was hard to boot it into the goal.

After my soccer game I watched Shannon’s soccer game. Shannon scored! It was the only goal that Shannon’s team scored. It was an awesome goal! I also watched the first half of the high school varsity game. Before they played, they had the seniors and their parents get some gifts. Then the whole crowd and the teams stood up and did the National Anthem. It was cool.
