Dentist Visit

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 11:24 am on Thursday, September 27, 2007

This morning I had a dentist appointment so I had to wake up earlier than usual. I saw Mrs. Crawford and when we were leaving we saw her again and she asked how Tim’s wedding was. Mom told her about the video that Dad made and that Mom took lots of pictures. The video of the wedding should be on Billy’s, Shannon’s and Dad’s blog. We will get to see Mrs. Crawford tomorrow for co-op.

Mt. Katahdin

After Tim and Angie’s wedding, Shannon, Billy, Mom and I went with Uncle David and Sue to Mt. Katahdin. When we got to Baxter State Park, Mom registered, but then we went down a dirt road for like a half hour or more at 20mph. After we got to our lean-to, we went to go see Uncle David and Sue’s lean-to. We met Uncle David’s friends, then we went to our lean-to and unpacked. We were right next to a river which was so loud near our lean-to. My nose got really cold so I slept the rest of the night all the way inside my sleeping bag. :)

The next day we were walking to the bathrooms when we saw that Uncle David’s friends were right next to our lean-to, so we had breakfast there with everyone. I had oatmeal. It was really good.
After breakfast, we packed our lunches, and then we went on to the Hunt Trail, to the top of the mountain. Mom, and Uncle David’s friends didn’t go as far as Sue, Uncle David, Shannon, Billy and, I. We went to the very peak!
We ate lunch at the top which was about a mile away from the peak. At the peak, Uncle David proposed to Sue! She said “yes”! YEEEEHAAAAA! I was so happy and am still happy!!!

This is a picture just after Uncle David proposed.

When we got back from our hike I was extremely exhausted. We had Sloppy Joe’s for supper.

Here are some pictures Shannon, and I took.

Josie

The Landry’s got a new puppy named Josie. She looks just like Sire (the dog they had before her). Shannon walked her this morning and I got to go see Josie. She is full of kisses. My face got doggie-kissed all over at least 3 times. :-) She is so CUTE!

Yesterday I had my Tripp soccer game. We lost against Brunswick. 1-4 was the score. Brunswick is one of the harder teams. I had lots of fun. I got stepped on hard, but I got the ball away from the person anyway. Moriah scored our one goal. Woot, woot! Go Moriah! Today I have an away game at Bath. I can’t wait.

Tim is letting us borrow a Play Station 2 for two weeks. I played a Spiderman game on it for a long time. It was very fun. I got pretty far. I also played an ATV game, and a little bit of Tony Hawks.

In 5 days Tim is getting married!!!

Today I have my first Tripp Middle School soccer game. I am nervous but I can’t wait.

Deerwander

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 1:56 pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2007

Deerwander is a Christian camp that I LOVE. I go to once a year for a week.  I have so many friends there. I also get much closer God. I don’t remember much of the week, but here is what I remember.

Saturday: I arrived. I took my swim test. When I finished, Zureyma, Lauren and Demitra greeted me at the beach. I also got my Deerwander shirt. I have pictures below. We also played games with the whole camp at the game field.

Sunday: I ate breakfast. Our cabin got ready for church and headed up to Burgess Lodge (that is where we have all our studies). After the sermon I realized this was going to be a great week. I learned so much just from that sermon! Pastor Tracey preached, by the way. Pastor Tracey is a great pastor. I
also remember Pastor Tracey pointed out that he had brought his son. Josh was his
name and he was in Billy’s cabin. I forgot what happened after that. I think we had lunch. Then I think we had a lot of free time or we had games. After that, we went over the rules and boundaries. Oh, and my counselors’ names were Sarah and Natalie.

Monday: I don’t remember much for Monday except that I knew everyone’s names by then. I’m not sure what happened that day except that I got even closer to God.

Tuesday: I met Ellie and Danielle. They were much taller then me and older than me but they were still nice and awesome! I got lots of piggy back rides from them. I mostly got piggy back rides from Ellie because Danielle sprained her ankle on Wednesday, I think. Pastor Tracey was our speaker again. He was TOTALLY AWESOME!  Every study I got closer and closer to God. There were also some counselors who preached sometimes. Now I can concentrate better during any study because it is very important to me to listen. THANK YOU VERY MUCH PASTOR TRACEY AND COUNSELORS!!!!

Wednesday: I can not remember much except that Danielle sprained her ankle.  I laughed so hard everyday. Thank you Jon Evans for organizing everything.

Thursday: The last day when they count points for your cabins. We did our skits and we also had to dress up like a transformer for supper. If you didn’t dress up you wouldn’t be able to go in the cafeteria/gym and have supper. But I don’t think Jon will really do that. :-) I had SO much fun!

Friday: We had a normal day except no points were counted. We had our evening study then we headed down to the campfire. We listened to people say how Deerwander had changed them and how they are going to miss everyone. I cried. Our whole cabin except Sarah, my counselor, cried. A boy named Arthur made me cry, then like four other people made me cry even more. We also sang some songs.

Saturday: I packed my stuff and then I headed up with Ellie to Burgess Lodge.  A couple of 8th graders and a lot of my cabin were hugging each other. And then when I saw my Mom and Dad drive in I hugged everyone even longer. Billy’s friend, River shook my hand goodbye. He was very nice. He was home schooled too! I hope every 6th and 7th grader come back next year.

Riverbend Campground

Riverbend campground is a campground in Leeds. They had a small but deep pool. The pool was 8 ft deep. I went swimming everyday except the day we got there. It was totally awesome. Almost everyday we were there it was 90 plus degrees. Either I was in the pool, the air conditioned motor home and the showers.

Breininger Family Reuion

On the 4th of July week we went to Pennsylvania. We stayed at a campground called Nittany Mountain. Nittany Mountain is a campground we stayed at when we weren’t at Grammy and Grampy’s house.

At Grammy and Grampy’s house we had lunch which was delicious! For lunch, we had really good sliced meats and lasagna and all sorts of stuff! I’m getting hungry just explaining what we had! After lunch, almost everyone played Croquet. I didn’t play croquet but I did last year. It was fun. While almost everyone was playing croquet, I played with Sue’s dogs, Buttercup and Ebbitt. I played more with Buttercup because Ebbitt recently had back surgery so he had to lay a little low. :-( Buttercup and Ebbitt adorable golden retrievers.

At our campground they had a little farm thing. They had a fawn, a calf, a white bunny, a pig, two goats, and a couple of chickens. The fawn and the calf were my favorite. They were real cute, especially the fawn.

Cousin Katie, Shannon, Billy and I swam in the campgrounds pool and it was FREEZING!!! We had to go into the baby pool first which felt like ice to make the other pool seem warm. Right after we were done freezing ourselves we went and made our own ice cream sundaes. That made me more cold. ;-)

My 12th Birthday

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 3:24 pm on Monday, September 3, 2007

On Friday I had a game. We lost 3-9. I got to play short stop! It was really fun but very tiring! After the game we went to go pick up Rachel and Zack. It was fun! When we got to our house I showed Rachel around. We played on my piano for a bit then we went to bed.

The next day we woke up at five thirty in the morning. Just me and Rachel. Mom was already awake. Rachel and I made shakers and then we got see the crayfish Zack and Billy caught at our stream. I got to hold one. It flicked lots of water because he wanted to be free. After that we all went to both streams and got a little wet.

Rachel, Billy, Zack and I played spud. Zack and Billy won! When we got back we had breakfast. Yum yum! Mom had made my favorite breakfast. Egg Mcmuffins! Billy, Zack and Mom went to Billy’s game. Rachel and I played on webkinz for awhile then Tifani said we could visit the horse farm for a little while. I almost got to ride a horse but Dad said we had to go home. Rachel almost rode Patch and I almost rode May. I told Tifani we could do it another time.

At Billy’s game Rachel got to meet my friends and we both got to meet a little puppy. When we got back we had a quick lunch and people started showing up.

Four people didn’t make it. Danae, Sierra, Cheryl, and Mrs Steward. Meredith, Ashleigh, Bri, Taylor, Angelina, Tifani, Rebekah, Halie, Rebecca, Anna and Rachel could make it. After I introduced everyone we headed to the field. When we got to the field Abbey explained how to play spud. We played spud for awhile then we played rock, paper, scissors shoot tag. I was the captain of one team, Rachel was the captain of the other team. I was the last person out on the team I was on. I stayed on that team for a very long time until they actually tagged me. All my friends were against me for a few rounds. After that game we went home.

When we got to my house we had cake and ice cream. Right after cake I opened my presents. I opened Ashleigh’s first because she could only stay for a two hours instead of four. Meredith and Ashleigh left early during the presents. Here’s what I got for presents and who they were from.

Brie gave me a Hershey’s chocolate bar and a bead key chain to build.
Ashleigh gave me ten dollars.
Taylor gave me this candy that you can make gummy cookies and pizza she also gave crystal art.
Angelina and Meredith’s present was them being there. :-) That’s my favorite gift.
Tifani gave me a gorgeous ring that came in a nice box and she also gave me a seashore jewelry box and some extra string.
Rebekah gave me twelve dollars in a card but it was it was from Danae (her sister) too.
Halie gave me lots of stuff, she gave me ten tootsie lolly pops, a box with mini note cards and envelopes, a kitty with wings fuzzy poster, a basket to hold my stuff and stickers to decorate my room and pencils and a monkey pen with a funny hair and a cute kitty notepad.
Rebecca gave me some nail polish, a cool basket thing, a photo holder.
Anna gave me a purse that she made that very morning!
Rachel gave me a frame that had some flowers she flattened and she also gave me a box with three paint by numbers.
My Uncle David gave me a birthday card and twenty dollars!
Abbey gave me the DVD Madagascar and another DVD that came with it which had a story about some penguins.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE WONDERFUL PRESENTS!
After presents we played three rounds of mafia and then since it was so hot inside we played telephone outside while it sprinkled.
