My Wonderful Life

Teenpact

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 30, 2007

Today Shannon and Abbey are going to Teenpact. I’m going to miss them! It is only for four days. Good thing it’s not a week! They get to skip school here at home, but they are doing confusing stuff at Teenpact, so they are a actually kind of doing school. Poor Shannon hates wearing dresses and she has to wear dresses at teenpact except when she is at Camp Good News. Billy and I have to stay home and do school by ourselves because Mom is working. :-(

Yesterday, after church Billy and I got to go to Zack and Rachel’s house until Dad, Mom, Abbey and Shannon were done at Amenity Manor. We had SO much fun! We played spoons and hearts! I got to hold Zack’s gecko named Geico. She was very mellow compared to one I held before. After that we played with Rachel’s air soft guns! That was SOO fun! Rachel and I loaded up the guns while Zack and Billy had a dual kind of thing. After awhile Rachel and I got to shoot each other. Rachel got shot in a bruised spot so it hurt so, we had to stop for awhile. Before we shot the guns we had spaghetti for lunch. Yum yum!

After we shot guns we played on the piano some . We played around for awhile when Mom, Dad , Shannon and Abbey showed up. We were playing a cranium game. Shannon went on Billy, Zack and Maria’s team. Abbey went on ours. When we finished the game we showed Shannon the air soft guns and then we went back inside and had ice cream and brownies. It was SOO good! After brownies, Billy, Shannon and Zack threw some knifes up in there barn into a cardboard box. After awhile we played statues. It was a much more fun version of statues then ours. We had to leave after the statues. :-( Rachel and Zack’s house is HUGE!

Youth group is going to be canceled for a long time because Sheri is supposed to have her baby anytime! I can’t wait!

Dougie Has a Vet Visit

Today I get to go to the vet with Doug, Mom and Shannon! Dougie is getting two more shots! Poor Doug! Mrs. Burgess is going to be his veterinarian. Mrs. Burgess has a collie that is SO cute! I got to see the dog last night, because Billy had baseball practice, and Mrs. Burgess has a son on Billy’s team.

Tomorrow is my first softball practice! I get to see Cheryl much more often now because Cheryl is on my team! Cheryl is really good at batting for her first time! Dad took Shannon, Beth, Cheryl and I to the batting cages on Saturday!

Totally Flooded!

On Monday it rained and rained! I was at Sierra’s house for the first part of the day, because I slept over at her house the night before, for her birthday party. When Dad came to pick me up, Dad had to pick up Brooke too. Dad took awhile to pick me up, because the roads were flooded. When we got to our road, the streams were over the road, flowing like a river. Our cellar flooded five and half inches! It wasn’t a pretty sight. Here are some pictures of the flooding.

Wonderful Day!

Today when I woke up, I was all stuffed up, because I caught a cold. I also found out our power was out. I waited until everyone was up to get out of bed. The power came back on while I was in the bathroom! We had cereal for breakfast. When I finished eating, I got ready for home school co-op. We left for co-op.

When we got to the co-op place, some people were in the building where we have states. At nine fifteen we went to go and pledge to the flag of the United States of America, the Christianity flag and the Bible. I got to hold the Christianity flag! After the pledge we went to the states building. We did the last of America’s famous places.

The next thing we did was snack. When it was ten-thirty, we all went into the gym and played kickball. I think our team won. I’m not sure. Connor kept catching the balls we kicked, but Daniel kept catching the balls they kicked!

We headed off to Spanish! It was very fun! Mrs. Joy (the Spanish teacher) handed out our scripts for a skit we are going to do for the end of the school year thing.

When Spanish was over, we had lunch! YUMM! After lunch we had science! We talked about how the cycle of water happens.

After awhile Dad came and picked us up. Tomorrow I get to go to Meredith’s birthday party, and Sunday after church I get to go to a slumber party at Sierra’s! Goody goody, gum drops! My most exciting news today is that Sarahjoy is getting married to Kyle this fall! I am so excited! Sarahjoy wants Abbey to be her bridesmaid! :-D

Big Slumber Party!!!

Yesterday we went shopping for a short while. Abbey went to the shoe section of Wal-Mart and looked for sneakers while Mom, Billy and I got some other items. When Mom, Billy and I were done we went and found Abbey. Abbey has a hard time finding her shoe size, because she has smallish feet, and her toe end of her foot is much wider then her heel, so she has to try on a lot of different shoes. It takes a very long time. When we checked out of Wal-Mart, I got Sierra a ___ ______ ____ ____, because her birthday party is on Sunday. I can’t wait! She is going to have twelve girls over for a slumber party, and I’m one of them! We are all going to sleep downstairs in her basement.

Bad Day

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 8:20 am on Thursday, April 12, 2007

Today my bad day started with me waking up at six in the morning because of Doug the Pug throwing up. I was confused when Shannon got up, because I didn’t realize at first that Doug had been sick. Shannon got up, took care of Doug’s throw up, and then she grabbed her pillow and her blanket and went to the couch to get some more sleep. I also heard the parent’s door open, but it was Mom because she was getting her coffee. I first thought it was Shannon telling Mom she was sick. So I got worried and felt a little sick by being worried about Shannon. When I found out Shannon was not sick, I was relieved. I read a book until we had to do chores for breakfast. After breakfast, I had opened a window to do my blog when Mom told me to wash the table, so I washed it. While I was drying, Shannon went on the computer. I told Shannon to wash the chairs, but she said “Let me just finish my blog, it’ll only take ten minutes.” I got kind of mad at her, but now I am not mad, because she just tickled me with lots of Billy’s help.

Now I always have a little bit of a bad time when I have to do math. I need to finish my math when I am done this blog post.

Today Tim a a brilliant idea! All by himself (except for Mom and Dad’s permission) he moved the computers and the monitors so the monitors are facing towards the living room, and now I like the setup much better. I think it is, but I don’t know about everyone else. Here are some pictures of the rearrangement in the house.

I’m Hooked On Books

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 1:51 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2007

This morning Abbey had a dentist appointment. While Abbey and Mom were gone, I read Love Thy Neighbor by Ann Turner. It is a very good book. It is about a girl named Prudence when the Revolutionary War was going on. She had two sisters and two brothers. She was the oldest girl, and her younger sisters were named Kate and Verity. Her older brothers were Jacob and Walter. I am almost done reading it. The book is her journal. She lived in Green Marsh, Massachusetts in 1775. I looked it up on Google maps, and it doesn’t know what Green Marsh, MA is, so Ann Turner may have made that town up, or it was renamed after she wrote this story.

Mom called while Abbey and Mom were gone, and said that Shannon is going to go to the dentist, too. So Mom and Abbey came back to our house and brought everyone to Shannon’s dentist visit, and then we went to Hooked on Books.

The book we studied we was Calling on Dragons. It was one of my favorite books we have read for Hooked on Books. I thought it was hilarious! My favorite characters were Killer and Trouble. Mrs. Baxter, who was leading the study, made ginger bread cake which was SO GOOD! Good job Mrs. Baxter! We also had apple cider which was really good! It wasn’t very strong, which is good because I had a strong cider before, and it was so strong it made my throat sore.

A Shallow Heated Pool

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 4:08 pm on Monday, April 9, 2007

On Friday afternoon we left to go to Bangor, Maine. We went to a hotel called Days Inn. Our room smelled like smoke, so we got a machine in our room that made the room smell a little better. When we finished unpacking, we went swimming. The pool was nice and heated, but the problem was that it only went 4 1/2 feet deep. The pool was pretty full when we got there. After awhile we left the pool, because we were bored because the Stewards weren’t there yet.

When we got to our hotel room (which was at the end of the hall) some of us showered. I didn’t get a chance to.

We all went out to eat at Burger King. I had a chicken sandwich. I ordered two, and only got one, but oh well.

When we got back we hung out for a little bit, and then went into the lobby to see if the Stewards were there. Mr. Steward was in the lobby, and the rest of the family was in the car! We all helped them get their stuff out of the car, and then we went to the pool.

We played at the pool, and there was still lots of people there. Tifani and Shannon left a little early to prepare for the next day. They found out Shannon lost her earring, so Richard, Billy, another boy, and I looked for it for about fifteen minutes. The boy we were playing with said he saw it the drain, where we couldn’t get it, and then Richard double-checked, and it was in there. So, Shannon had to use Tifani’s earrings.

Richard, Billy and I played for awhile, until Mom said we had to go, because it was almost ten fifteen at night. We left and all took showers. I was the last one to take a shower, so when I got out Richard and Billy played army men while I watched. I got ready for bed, and so did Richard and Billy.

I woke up last. I woke up because of people stepping on my air mattress. It was about six-thirty in the morning.

Richard, Billy, Mom and I went to a breakfast place in the hotel, and had a snack. Then we went to the pool. We played and played for about three hours. We got really hungry, but we didn’t get to eat anything until lunch, except for one donut per person.

We went to Orono, and had lunch with Shannon and Tifani. Then we watched Shannon’s team’s skit. Shannon’s skit was the best, I think! Shannon was competing against two other teams. Shannon’s team came in second!

Second Place

We got to youth group early, so Shannon did an I Q test on Kevin and I did one on Denae.
The I Q test was about how to get an elephant into a fridge, then a Giraffe and then who was missing in the animal meeting. Last but not least, how do you get across the river with alligators and snapping turtles, you swim because they’re at the meeting.

Kevin got out first in the ball game then Tim. I got Zack out, who is good at the ball game and I was second and Denae was first. Denae and I were the youngest ones there besides Rebekah so it was unusual for Denae and I to be the last ones out.

Shannon won the Bible verses, then Brooke was second. Abbey didn’t win, she didn’t get one verse. Poor Abbey didn’t get a one Bible verse.

Then we played a game called “How’s yours?”. It is a game where you have one person go into another room and wait until we decide what object we agree on. What we picked a was a clock while Shonah was out of the room, we had to say stuff like it has hands after she asked us “How’s yours?”.

We played baseball but we used ping-pong paddles for bats and ping-pong balls for balls and chairs for bases. Our team lost, we were the Yankee’s and the other team was the Red Sox, I wanted to be Red Sox.

Tim showed everyone a card trick where he made the card float in the air in between his hands. After Tim showed us his card trick we hung out a little bit then left.

Unusual Weather

Last night Abbey and I walked Doug. It was so cold you could see your breath! When Abbey and I walked Doug, it was snowing, and when I woke up, it was still snowing! I was not happy when it started snowing. When I found out it was snowing I kept on saying “Stop snowing, snow!” It finally stopped snowing around nine thirty this morning. Around lunch time it snowed again! Around one or two in the afternoon it stopped snowing! It is supposed to snow again tomorrow and maybe again on Thursday! :-(
