Turkey Cake

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 3:03 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2006

Last night we went to youth group. Billy and I were the only ones in our family who could make it to youth group. Abbey was training for a job at the library, and Shannon had basketball practice. When we came to youth group, we played find-the-verse drills. Afterwards we did a study about Thanksgiving. The game we played was like this.

There are four corners, and three people in each corner. I was with Paul and Shona. Our team won the first round. I don’t know who won the other rounds. For sweets we had cakes that looked like a turkey. Around the ‘turkey’, there were peas made out of green frosting, and mashed potatoes made of whipped cream, and the gravy made of caramel. Then we raced a little bit, and then we did this thing where you would pick a number and if it was the right number you would get one of the turkey cakes. I got one! The number I guessed was 11.

Yesterday Mom said she was sick. Mom has a bad cough and a fever. I feel really sorry for Mom, because today is her birthday, and we can’t celebrate Mom’s birthday because she is sick. Happy birthday Mom! Also, please get well soon!

Billy has been making some origami animals and I think they look awesome! So, I want to show you them.

Play Setup

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator at 9:51 am on Wednesday, November 22, 2006

Shannon slept over at Tifani’s last Friday night. We had to pick up Shannon early, because we were going to set up for the play. Play setup involved to fixing up the set for The Merchant of Venice.

While we were picking up Shannon, something happened that was one of the scariest things of my life! We were leaving the Stewards when we saw Emily (the Steward’s dog) run into the road, and she got hit by a car! Thankfully, she isn’t hurt badly. She has scratches from falling in gravel, bruised lungs and liver, and air in her stomach. It does sound bad, but it is not as bad as I thought. I expected broken bones and Emily would have had to stay in the vet for a few days or something. Good thing I was wrong!

When we arrived at the church, Rebecca, Petra, Autumn and I couldn’t do much because we aren’t very strong. We mostly took pictures of everyone.

Rebecca asked if we could go outside, so most us smaller people went outside. Even Tucker and Billy came outside with us four girls! We were working on a fort, but it didn’t turn out to be a fort. We were breaking a stick for the ‘fort’, and Billy and I were jumping on it, when I fell off and I got a long scratch. It was bleeding slowly. Rebecca found a first aid kit, and we put band-aids on the bloody parts. After that we had Mountain Dew! I split a can with Rebecca. While we were having soda, we invited Rebecca and Tucker over to our house. That didn’t work out, so we went to their house instead. After that we went outside and did a sand castle contest. Rebecca, Autumn and I were the judges. Billy was 3rd, Petra was 2nd and Tucker was 1st. After that, somehow we started playing this game that who ever had the blue bouncy ball would be chased by everyone except by their partner. We would try and get the bouncy ball from them. We did that for a long time.

We stopped after awhile, and then we left and headed to the Richards’ house. We had lunch outside, and then played outside for a very long time. When we went inside, Rebecca showed me pictures of her princess party. Then we went downstairs for a short time, and then we went upstairs and we read some of the stories Rebecca wrote. When we were almost finished, Dad came and picked us up.

Youth Group!!!

Last night we were getting ready for Youth Group, but the car wouldn’t start, so Dad had to charge it. We were a little late.

We got there during the Bible study part. We studied about how to follow Jesus.

After that we played a relay race thing. We would have a captain throw the ball. Then we would have to catch it and squat. When we got to the end of the line we had to catch it squatting and stand up. My team won both times! (We played twice.) We also played ‘Guns, Gorilla, Man.’ ‘Guns, Gorilla, Man’ is a lot like ‘Rock, Papers, Scissors’. If you’re a gorilla, you have to lift your hands up in the air and make a gorilla noise. The way to do a man is put your hands on your hips and say “Hey there.” To do guns, you shape your hands like a gun and say “BANG BANG!”. I beat everyone I played against except for Shona. Paul won the first round, and Richard won the second round. We played hockey after that. It was more fun then I thought! Our team lost but it was fun anyway. I almost got a goal, but Kevin said “Switch!”, just before I shot!

After hockey we had munchkins. They were really good!

The Girls Are Back!!!

Abbey and Shannon are finally back from their camp! Wednesday night we went to pick Abbey and Shannon up. We got there near the end of the awards ceremony. I was able to talk to Anna and Baleigh.

It is much louder in the house now! I am so glad Shannon and Abbey are back from camp. I like it loud in the house, except during school and when I am calling someone.

Tonight is Youth Group. I invited Ellayna to Youth Group, and I also asked Sierra to go as well. Billy invited Christian to Youth Group or just for the day, but he might not be able to come. I really hope all of us can go.

Billy and I have to fold laundry or we can’t go. I really hope we finish laundry in time to go. Youth Group is so fun!

Billy, Mom and I folded laundry and now we have only one more load to fold! The last load is in the dryer.

Ellayna’s House!

Yesterday afternoon Mom, Billy and I walked to Ellayna’s with her soccer ball because she forgot it at our house the day before. When we arrived at Ellayna’s, Ellayna came out and said “Thank you for returning the soccer ball. I knew I was forgetting something.”. Mrs. Fowler came out and talked to Mom for a very long time. While Mom and Mrs. Fowler were talking, Ellayna, Billy, Taylor and I played with the soccer ball. Ellayna and I were on a team and Billy and Taylor were on a team. We played keep away. Ellayna and I had the ball most of the time. Ellayna invited me over so I stayed. Billy and Mom walked back home.

We went inside and had ham and mashed potato’s. YUMMMM!!! Boy oh boy was that good! Good job Mr. Fowler for making that meal! While Ellayna and I ate, Taylor showed us how she played the trumpet.

Then we went up into Taylor and Ellayna’s room. They had a cool toy piano. I played a little bit of Lord Of The Rings theme song thing and Ellayna showed me Marry Had a Little Lamb song on the piano. When we were done we went down stairs in their basement and played a little bit of dress up. When we got tired of that we played hide and go seek. Then we went upstairs and had ice cream. After we had ice cream we went on the computer. We saw Doug’s blog and my blog. I had to go after that so we left.

When I got back, Mom, Billy and Dad were in the middle of watching a Frankenstein movie.

I played every game except the basket ball shooting game. I got ALOT of candy! I saw a girl with a really full bag of candy then the next time I saw her was with a new bag! That means she has a bunch of candy. I was so amazed! I got to meet one of Meredith friends! Her name was Erin. Erin was very nice! After awhile around 7:40 at night Dad picked us up. Dad was a little early but I don’t mind. :-)
